THE CLOVERDALE COMMUNITY
Cloverdale is the third largest community in Surrey. Although it previously had a primarily rural and agricultural focus, it has recently grown into a community mecca featuring the arts, cultural events, festivals, and more.
The main side streets in Cloverdale are home to many popular local restaurants, including The Henry and The Vault (two of our personal favorites). Cloverdale is also home to numerous local retailers in addition to well-known chain stores.
A big draw in the community – indeed across the Lower Mainland – is the Cloverdale Rodeo, which occurs annually on the May long weekend. A regular event since 1946, the rodeo is now the fifth largest in Canada.
Cloverdale is also home to Surrey’s official museum. One of the city’s oldest buildings, Christ Church, is located in Cloverdale. This Carpenter Gothic-style church, built-in 1884, is a proud testament to the hard work of the area’s early pioneers.
