π Stats Canada just released new data that shows for the first time in over a decade, More people left BC than those who moved to the province.
In 2023 Alberta received a surge of interprovincial migration, gaining over 55,000 new residents, with nowhere else even coming close.Β In that same year, BC LOST almost 9,000 people.
Since 2020 I’ve personally never had more clients want to leave our Province for Alberta, mostly Calgary. Whether it was prices or politics, many people have had enough and this trend only seems to be accelerating. ππΌ
Now despite this interprovincial migration OUT of the province, due to other immigrants moving in we’ve actually STILL seen a net increase of 178 thousand people, topping our population to a whopping 5.6 Million.
(edit: in video I say per “month” mistakenly instead of per “year” )
So what does that say when more people are leaving and wanting to leave our province than EVER yet we’re still growing at record population growth?
